“This is the same part of Woolwich Common in South East London where I painted The Winter Tree last year. It’s just a few weeks later in the year but there’s so much more light in the sky. I pass this place every day, it’s always different and always beautiful. I’ve started to realise that I’m drawn to painting scenes where there’s light and warmth and human activity in the distance, but emptiness and stillness is the main thing in the painting.”

The Full Moon, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Oval Room Blue, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
