“Every time I turn the colour on a paint chip into a skin tone and a person appears it feels like a magical apparition. They really seem to appear out of nowhere. This painting came together when I found just the right grey for the tiny sliver of background. Before that it looked flat, but then it suddenly sprang into life. She’s turning her head from left to right to look straight at someone.”

The Brow, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Setting Plaster, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
