This mural was inspired by the cherry blossom tree winding up the staircase on the set of the Paddington Bear movie. I painted it as a surprise for a three year old and her dad, who had loved watching the film together. My brief was to paint a very real-looking tree, so it would seem as if the tree was there first, and the house had grown around it. The lower and upper sections line up perfectly, so the mural fits together like a jigsaw as you climb the stairs.
