HAND-PAINTED HUNDRED ACRE WOOD MURAL

I painted this mural at the very top of a house in London. It was on a landing next to a new baby's nursery which had a Winnie the Pooh theme, so I took the treehouse in Hundred Acre Wood as inspiration, and I colour-matched the tree door to work with the painted furniture in the nursery. It was a great mural for hiding hidden details; there are toys and animals scattered around at child height at the top of the stairs. From beginning to end I absolutely loved painting this one. I painted it about two weeks before the baby was born, and once he was safely installed in his new room I came back to paint his name above the door.
